I’m sure your life has been rosy;
with no problems whatsoever!
Like a tea party, the whole thing, with nice invited guests,
and arrangements of cakes.
Nobody ever yells, and nothing gets spilled!
But there might come a time that you exprienced what I have…
Where things go so mighty wrong. Not completely, unfixably so, but so overwhelmingly, the cups might as well all be broken…
And in those moments is when your training comes in.
When you’re really tested.
You see in those moments, your IQ drops, because your brain goes into overdrive.
Thinking and re-thinking the same things.
At that point, when you notice this is happening, say to yourself:
“I can’t fully control you. Thoughts will race. And re-hash problems. That’s what they do. But I need you to work with me. With everything going so wrong, the last thing I need is you working against me as well. Let’s work together. Be on my side. And we can get this thing done. Whatever it is.”
Because the last thing we need when going to war, is insubordinate soldiers, piping up every few seconds: ‘This is going to go all wrong!’ a soldier yells.
‘There’s no way we’ll win!’ another chimes in.
Tell them to be good. Tell them to work with you. Because this is only aiding the enemy. And their cause. Let’s work with each other. Be positive. And then at least we’ll have a chance.
